This year our beloved Guru ji’s birthday was celebrated with double enthusiasm and happiness as the holy festival Janamaashtmi fell on the same date i.e. 10^th of August, 2012. It was celebrated in the holy premises of Kanpur.

The day began with the great grand abhishek of Jyotilingas, followed by Lord Shiva and Goddess Parwati’s Aarti and bhog. After that our Param Pujya Gurudev Bhagwan ji came, and blessed us with his mesmerizing smile. The grand aarti of Guru ji was performed. Thereafter many mythological plays and dance performances based on them were performed by the children of our organization, out of  which Ramayana and Radha Krishna raas leela won everybody’s heart. Tandav, Bal Radha Krishna leela were the other highlights.

 Guru ji was so much felicitated by the mythological acts that he was standing up on the stage and clapping and executing a happy gesture; seeing that all the devotees too went into the state of felicitation. He was least bothered about His birthday, rather He was just mesmerized by the holy acts and hymns performed by the children.

 Huge set was made and the entire premises of Om Namah shivaya was decorated with beautiful flowers, ribbons ballons and chandeliers. In fact the room where Guru ji stays was also decorated with beautiful flowers. Thousands of devotees across the cities of Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, Faizabad, Barabanki, Bareily, Basti, Delhi, Bhopal had come to greet Guru ji.

 In between the programmes once guru ji went downstairs just to be with all His beloved devotees, and everyone was presenting him garlands and flowers. After that the holy feast was been served to the devotees. In the evening Guru ji called everyone on stage, met the devotees and volunteers personally. He did not accepted anything except flowers.

 Last but not the least the celebration was organized by the volunteers of Kanpur, in friendly association with the volunteers of Lucknow, Allahabad and Faizabad.

 The forthcoming grand celebration is Ram Navami on 21^st of October,2012; wherein we will get to see the divine nine forms of goddess Durga.

The auspicious festival of Guru Poornima was held on 3^rd of July,2012, near Yamuna pull, at Allahabad, this year. The holy venue got even more breezy and joyous as our Param Pujya Gurudev Bhagwan ji reached there around twelve in the afternoon. The entire premises was filled with thousands of devotees; gathered from different cities of the country; all standing and holding flowers and garlands to welcome Him.

Param Pujya Gurudev Bhagwan ji was given a warm welcome through a welcome ssong(swagat geet), thereafter He was made to sit in a huge tub so that everyone could do charan pakharo of Guru ji (i.e. pouring the holy water, milk and curd onto His feet). First and foremost guru ji’[s mother, our very own Pujyaniya Dadi performed the abhishek; followed by Maa ji(Guru ji’s wife); His relatives; then each and every devotee present there got the blissful opportunity of performing abhishek.

After the grand abhishek that lasted for three to four hours, the maha bhawya aarti of Guru ji was performed, followed by Bhog; mythological plays and dance forms were gracefully performed by the children of the Aashram. The entire day’s celebration ended with a beautiful note wherein Guru ji called everyone on stage and met all the devotees one by one with the mesmerizing charismatic smile on His face; He accepted flowers and garlands(only) from everyone and in return gave us His blessings.

Besides, great grand holy feast was been prepared and distributed among the devotees. The entire event was been organized by the volunteers of Allahabad in friendly cooperation with the volunteers of Kanpur, Lucknow and Faizabad.

Glorious Years of Journey

Lal Mahendra Shiv Shakti Sewa Aashram well known as Om Namah Shivay has achieved an immense milestone on its path of devotion. The organization has been serving the people for the past 24 years in Allahabad, 13 years in Lucknow, more than 10 years in Faizabad and a few years in Kanpur. Indeed such a selfless practice would not have been possible without the holy guidance of organization’s aegis Param Pujya Gurudev Bhagwan.

From Merely Five devotees to a magnitude of more than five lakh devotees, are being blessed to be associated with the organization. Endless miracles have taken place over the years like people getting rid of poverty, drug addiction, kidney failure, liver, heart diseases, cancer, paralysis, diabetic disorder, blood pressure fluctuation, mental stress and many more. Sterile couples have been blessed with children even after 25-30 years of their marriage; Lucknow has been blessed with a great grand record of 4500 baby sons by far.

Every year the organization manages a massive Shiv-bhandara (holy feast) in Magh Mela at Sangam, Allahabad, Across 30-40 days for 24*7. Where in the volunteers and devotees associated to the organization of Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad and Faizabad serve the devotees at Magh Mela. More than 1.5 crore people across the world visit Magh Mela every year; they take Bath in the holy Ganga, visit the famous Hanuman mandir at Sangam, thereafter they have the holy feast prepared by Gurudev Bhagwan at the Bhandara. One should for sure experience the Delight at Magh Mela.

The mode of dispersion has always been through word of mouth. We go to each and every door displaying banners and finding out the people who are in need of help.

Gurudev Bhagwan has been blazing the devotees to worship Lord Shiv by making them chant “Om Namah Shivay”.  He says :

“In the name of God (Om Namah Shivay) tons of your sufferings vanish and you are filled with felicity; besides, serve the people of God and God will nurture you.”

Where numerous devotees engrossed in abhishek (consecrating), jaap(chanting om namah shivay), and aarti(prayers n hymns) of Lord Shiv the whole day; you too are requested to grace the organization with your kind presence and get rid of all your problems.

Shiva, as the god of destroying evil, is the third among the divine trinity of Hindu mythology. The holy mantra consisting of five-syllables: “Na” “Ma” “Shi” “Vaa” “Ya” (Om Namah Shivay) in praise of Lord is anted incessantly on special occasions like Shivaratri. Mahashivratri is the great night of lord Shiva.It is said that on this very day Lord Shiva get married with Goddess Parvati. So on this auspicious day, eternal union of Shiva took place with Shakti.

Festival of Mahashivaratri is the most important festival for the millions of devotees of Lord Shiva. The festival has been accorded lot of significance in Hindu mythology. It says that a devotee who performs sincere worship of Lord Shiva on the auspicious day of Shivratri is absolved of sins and attains moksha it has tremendous significance in Hinduism. According to sacred scriptures, ritual worship of Lord Shiva on Shivratri festival that falls on the 14th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Phalgun pleases Lord Shiva the most.

From the very early morning, Shiva temples are flocked by devotees, too young and old, who come to perform the traditional Shivalinga worship (puja) and hence hope for favours from the god. Devotees bathe at sunrise, preferably in the Ganga, or any other holy water source (like the Shiva Sagartank at Khajurao). This is a purificatory rite, an important part of all Hindu festivals. And then after wearing a clean piece of cloth the devotees of Lord Shiva perform the ritual worship of Mahashivratri with care and devotion. They observe day and night fast and give sacred bath to Shiva Linga with honey, milk, water etc.

All the festivals are celebrated in our organization throughout the year. But this is one of the main festivals and occasions celebrated every year full heartedly with zeal and enthusiasm in our organization”Om Namah Shivay” And the place of its grand celebration is decided by our Parampujya Guruji.

Among all other Places (Kanpur, Allahabad, Faizabad) this year this festival is decided to be celebrated in Lucknow on 26^th of Febraury 2012(Sunday).

On this day,various cultural activities or programmes are organised such as Shiv leela ,bhakt leela etc, which is performed by the bhakts of Om Namah Shivaye. Most importantly a grand feast or Bhandara is organised,which starts from the rise of the sun and continues throughout the night along with programmes. A huge gathering of lakhs of people takes place to celebrate this auspicious day and bhakt from all corners of the country collect at this place to have a glimpse of this grand event.

This Mahashivratri Prasad is distributed to lakhs of people (Bhakt) by the volunteers of the organisation.It will not be wrong to say that whosoever comes here does not go empty stomach and is ensured to get the prasad by our Parampujya Guruji Himself.Not even this, there is a proper arrangement for those who wants to take a hault at this place at night,so that the bhakts  can stay to have the glimpse of all the programmes or cultural activities throughout the night.

History of Kumbh Mela

Though it is told that kumbh mela is been organized from Vedic period of the Hinduism and initially it was held as the festival of river. But the first written evidence of the kumbh mela was found in the writing of Huan Tsang, a Chinese traveler in about 600 AD. According to hindu mythology, the origin of kumbh mela was occurred due to samundra manthan or churning of ocean milk which is briefly mentioned in bhagvat purana, mahabharat, ramayan and Vishnu purana. The believers of Hinduism believe on this and follow it. It is said that having is bath in the river ganga while kumbh mela is generous and all the cures are diminished. As it is said that during kumbh mela the god appears at the place to bless the water of river Ganga.

The time has come again and the wait of millions of followers is over as the maha kumbh mela is going to organized again after twelve years in Allahabad on 10^th January  and will last for 10 of February. It is estimated by the authority that this time the records are going to be broken and the number of attendees of Kumbh Mela 2013 is going to raise more than previous one in 2001.

This is first time that our organisation is going to organise huge bhandara in this Magh/Kumbh mela. In this bhandara many sadhu mahatma will also take part and will be get served. Bhandara will be started 9^th January 2012 near Sangam Prayag (Allahabad). This bhandara will end on 9^th Febuary 2012 and during this period millions of people and sadhu will be served.

From Januray 2013 our organisation Lal Mahendra Shiv Sakti Sewa Ashram will again organise the Bhandara for 24 hours. This Bhandra will continue till Maha Kumbh Mela end. During this people Million of people who attend the Maha Kumbh Mela will be Served through the bhandra.
